The Visa Counter is closed on Sundays. The Visa Section will accept applications from Monday to Thursday from 9.00 am to 11.30 am For applications, you are kindly requested to make an appointment at the German Embassy in Dhaka.

Appointments for Visa:

- Appointments can be done through telephone during office hours.

- Please note that no appointment can be done through Email or Fax.

- Telephone calls regarding Visa queries will be replied from 08:15 hrs until 09:00 hrs and again from 15:30 hrs until 16:00 hrs only.

This is to inform all the students who would like to get an appointment for visa, that appointments
are given through Email ONLY. The email for students' appointment is as follows:
student-visa@dhaka.diplo.de
Detailed requirements for the students' visa as well as the visa application form are
given on our website:
www.dhaka.diplo.de/visa
Students are requested to submit the following papers as pdf-attachment for the visa appointment:
1. A confirmation letter of admission to a German language course from any
German institution (only if the language course is obligatory)
2. Original letter of admission (with subject mentioned, in which the admission
is given)
or any one of the following:
- a letter from the university where the admission is mentioned
- a conditional admission
- a confirmation of acceptance
- a so called “final confirmation” from ASSIST
Only after the above mentioned papers are submitted along with passport number and
contact (valid) mobile number, appointments will be given by return Email. At the time of
the visa interview, all papers must be submitted in originals.
– Please DO NOT send any request for students' visa appointment to any other email
address of this Embassy.
– Students are requested NOT to send more than one email.
– To facilitate the process, please write your field of study on the email subject itself
so that we can sort out the emails faster, i.e. “Seeking Visa appointment for Bachelors
(or Master or Ph.D.), deadline:… (date on which you have to be in Germany)”.
– The Visa Section does not send any receipt of confirmation of emails. If you have
applied for an appointment as instructed, you will get one, but it might take some
time, because of the large number of students. Please have patience.
